I chose Vanderbilt over Emory. plus other questions about Vanderbilt...Econ vs HOD etc

I was accepted to Vanderbilt as a junior transfer. I was accepted into the college of arts and science which I thought would be good but have recently heard of HOD. I dont know if I am able to switch because HOD is part of the Peabody school. Coming from a non target im concerned about workload and want to major in something that will allow me time for workstudy etc, but yet still give me a good career path in ib/hf. What should I major in? What else should I know about Vanderbilt? Is it a target? I chose Vanderbilt over Emory because I was only accepted to Emory econ not bschool, but I like Vanderbilt better overall and feel it is more of a target anyways.
