International Exchange Semester

Hi,

I'm new on the forum and I'm currently in my first year of a bachelor's degree and I will soon have the opportunity to choose my exchange semester in my second year at a partner university.
Firstly, is the name of the university during an exchange semester important in a resume since it's only a semester? (In IB)
I've identified these 5 universities that would be feasible with my estimated ranking and that have a good ranking in the financial times:

Universita Bocconi - Milano
IE University - Madrid
Copenhagen Business School
Nova School of Business and Economics (lisboa)
University of hong kong (hku)

from a purely academic point of view, I think bocconi is the best university.
Do you have any advice or corrections to make?

Personally did 2 exchanges (one in HK and one at Bocconi). Loved them both for very different reasons:

- The Hong Kong one was a true cultural experience, with the possibility to travel around very easily (Japan, Philippines, Thailand, etc) and living a totally different life than in Europe for 6 months
- Bocconi was intellectually very stimulating with elite professors (Della Ragione, S.Caselli), while also very fun as Milan has a lot to offers in terms of night life and activities

But if I had to choose between both I would go for Bocconi. You could easily replicate the « fun cultural experience » by travelling to Asia with some friends over the summer, while visiting an elite institution is a once in a lifetime experience.

Note that I come from a totally non-target university. As you, I had to choose from a sample of very similar universities (IE, CBS, LSE, BI, Nova, HKU, HKUST, Queensland, Sydney).

But if you already are in a top institution, then I would 100% go for HKU!
