Questions about the Value of Studying Abroad to the USA

Hello WSO,

I go to a not so well known university in Canada, and was thinking about heading about doing a study abroad for a summer semester at UC Berkeley. I am currently in my third and interviewing for the asset management fund at my school in the upcoming weeks too. What I mainly wanted was to experience a legitimate world-class university and try taking a finance course or two there. Instead of going abroad, I could probably secure a Co-op term or take additional classes in my home country. Can WSO give me some guidance or things I should consider?

Thank you.
