UCL degree not good enough for a Masters in Finance?

Hi,

so I'm going to be at UCL studying History Politics and Economics (the further you go on the course the more you specialise in one discipline - for me will be economics )

Would that prevent me from potentially doing a pre-experience MiF post-graduation? just wondering just in case I don't break in at UG level. hopefully it doesn't come to that. That or a Masters in Management I guess.

Or is stuff like GMAT more important in postgrad admissions. I'm not too knowledgable on the topic.

Nope, why would it?

You still need the usual - a 1st (or a strong 2:1), nice ECs, some WE (1-2 internships should be enough), a strong GMAT, good essays, etc.

But there’s no blacklist for potential students coming from UCL/doing economics & politics at undergrad, and it will not hold you back whatsoever.

Only tip I have is for when you apply - just be able to have a logical explanation backed up by facts (student activity, etc) as to why pursued this undergrad, and why you’ve decided to do the masters. Other than that, you’re good.
