The great thing about going to grad school is it opens up a wide array of employers post-grad school. You'll be able to recruit for several different areas of 'high finance' after. 

If you stay at the fund, it's going to be a much harder argument to make for someone to laterally hire you. Also, it restricts the types of jobs you will recruit for.
