Advice Needed - Junior majoring in econ at a target

Hello,

This is my first post. I'm a junior, majoring in econ at a target. My overall GPA is 3.4 and major GPA is around a 3.8. My extra-curricular activities are minimal. I have an internship this summer as a fx analyst for an online currency trading firm (FXCM, MoneyForex, Forex.com) My goal is to get into some sort of trading at a BB. Don't know exactly what yet, but currency is one of my interests.

My question is: Do you think this experience is enough to give me a shot at a FT position or should I stay the extra semester, try for a better internship next summer and then go from there. I have no problems staying the extra semester since after that I will have time to travel, prepare for my GMAT etc. Do you think that would be a bit too risky in the event that I don't secure a desirable internship next summer?

Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks.
