How did people feel about salary increases this year at the An1, An2, Aso1 level?
Getting a 5% raise when inflation is >5% and rents have increased significantly in New York City seems like an insult. Wondering how other junior level people feel about this.
I am currently being paid 115k and received a 40k bonus at the an2 level and have been one of the highest performing juniors the team has ever had. For NYC this seems off market with the inflation we have seen.
Be grateful that you are even getting raises in this environment when many people are losing their jobs or not receiving any raises
Which bank do you work for? I thought base for an2 would be more than that, ~120-125k.
UBS S&T
go to prop my guy, lol cleared 3x your total this past year
.
I think your forgetting, it’s a bit harder to get to prop… if most people had the chance in s&t, they would (me included), but the threshold is much much higher for prop
General rule of thumb: Banks will always try to pay you at an amount that is right below the threshold before you leave, especially at the junior level. Unless you have a decent pnl to your name + much better offer elsewhere, theres no point whining to them when you don’t have much of a leverage.
