BU OR u richmond?
I know it's like deciding between a kia or honda but which would give me a better shot at entering S&T in manhattan.

Networking would give you the best shot, not trying to be mean just realistic. Both schools are great schools but if you are talking about boston university, that might give you a slight advantage in networking if you go to the recruiting at Harvard, MIT, ect ect. I would find out what you want to trade if you do infact want to trade, get an econ degree and a CS programing minor and spend at least two years trading from your own account with real money. Before you start trading with money do at least a year if not two in demo accounts.
Work hard, do extremely well academically, and network. If you are intelligent, hard working, and earn a spot, you will get it. The institution does not make you who you are.
Plenty of people on this site who are wrapped up in the prestige bubble would put down these schools, but frankly I think they are both strong academic institutions, and there's no need to be self deprecating. I would personally go wherever you could save the most money and get the best holistic college experience.
I would say richmond would probably give you a better shot all together
I know a few guys from BU in finance, never met anyone from U Richmond.
Anecdotally, I know a handful of people who went to both schools, and the people I know who went to U Richmond really disliked it, while my friends at BU enjoyed their time. I will add that the girls I know who went to both schools are serious smokeshows, so you can't go wrong in that regard.
