Final Semester Grades

My bank never asked for a transcript or said anything about grades. I am assuming they see my transcript as part of the background check? I was just curious as to whether banks look at or even care what your grades are for your final semester. A friend going to Goldman said that they encouraged her to finish strong, and I have a friend at DB who was told to get all D's by his MD.

I'm sure you're friend may have misinterpreted that remark. No respectable MD would be serious in telling someone that...

Of course you want to finish strong, but in the end you have a gig lined up, so don't get too stressed.

the company you work for will only want to check to see if you graduated. otherwise, keeping up your gpa is just for your pride/sense of accomplishment and bschool application (if you ever want to do that). i personally only took 2 classes my last semester and made sure I did well in them. I got plenty of free time to enjoy the semester, but also was able to keep my grades up.

Many of my friends who are seniors have to report with an official transcript before the start date. They will check to make sure you didn't lie on your resume.
