Career Resources
Two months is not enough time to tell if someone is a good trader. The prop firms that I know of don't expect you to be profitable until at least a year. Did they even train you all?
Do you mind me asking for specific names of prop firms that you know? I keep finding the retail ones like FTMO, My Forex Funds, Funded traded, etc.
Thanks!
Put the job on your CV. Better than not putting anything, which will raise questions on why you were not doing anything, your motivation and drive, etc. And it's still a prestigious name you'll have on your CV, it shows you were smart enough to get hired there.
You will need to come up with a good story as to why you were let go. Something that shifts blame on your business, and something that doesn't sound too unreasonable. Possibly the company just had a really bad period and needed to get rid of unproductive people? These things can happen, more experienced people will understand. Obviously the story needs to sound plausible. If your company just had a great year and it's publicly known, you will need to think of something else. Blame the desk or whatever. And don't make a big deal out of it, unless asked. Bad things happen, and people will understand. Just move on.
Also, you should think of why you were let go. If you were not good enough or didn't get along with people, work on your issues.
Next, you should probably start preparing for interviews and start applying again soon. Take a few weeks off if you don't feel like it.
How can you be let go within 2 months, you've barely finished the training program, what T1 shop did this?
seriously which t1 shop did this?thats fxxking dumb..
This sounds like Optiver
I actually don't think it does (sound like Optiver US that is, Optiver Ams and Sydney are quicker to jump the gun). Optiver US takes a bit longer to fire.
Could easily be IMC though
Is IMC tier 1 in options?
I think it’s the optiver spin-off. Hint hint
Damn, that's insulting too with the non-compete. It's one thing if they wanted to prevent poaching but they willingly gave you up.
