recommend any trading competitions for (future) quant applicant?
Longtime lurker here, delighted to join the monkey business.
Am studying for quant interviews later in the year, figured might be helpful to do a trading competition both to see how much I enjoy the work, and possibly show interest to employers.
Good idea? Recommend any coming up? I searched the forums but didn't find much resembling recs, perhaps a few posts over 10y ago
PS: I'm not a student (mid-career switch) so can exclude any competitions exclusive to students
try kalshi trading competitions, but I imagine that it's insanely hard to get into quant trading as a career switch
Yeah agreed, am going for quant research which seems to be quite a common mid-career switch out of science
Thanks for suggesting Kalshi, actually didn’t know they were about event prediction; I used to visit the last guys who did that, InTrade. Found a couple mentions of past trading comps but seem like student only
Currently looking into whether I can participate in the IMC Prosperity or Quantiacs comps. Both apparently have April deadlines. Also I see last year’s WorldQuant IQC was in March but don’t see promo for this years event yet?
