Risk to Quant Strat

Hi All,

An introduction: I am a Junior at Ivy League School studying Operations Research/Quant Finance/CS. I was extended an offer by top BB bank [GS, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley] for consumer credit risk - not in corporate or market funct. unfortunately.

The role seems challenging and a majority of the team has their masters+ so I believe it will allow me to utilize my education. However, I do not have a passion for consumer banking and have a desire to be in an Equity Strat role working with FO teams and designing strats. I do this already through a club and on the side and absolutely love it.

Will it be possible (and likely) to move internally / move to lower prest. bank / complete masters to break into this role? If not what are exit ops? All I can think is FinTech, Data Science, Consulting, or Discover/Mastercard...
