Trillium Trading - Up to Date Salary/Compensation Info

This is regarding the entry-level trader role at Trillium, the proprietary trading firm in NY. Most of the info online right now seems to be outdated. As of 2022, the starting compensation is $60K + performance bonus. The performance bonus is P&L based (you get a percentage of the profit you make from trading). The 60K figure is 52K base + 4K signing bonus + 4K year-end bonus.

They are terrible, avoid like the plague as you will have no exit opportunities most likely. You will be TA trading single stock names in delta 1. Literally any S&T position at a bank will at least give exit ops to a better seat + better comp + better reputation.

If you want to be a TA trader then just make money with an actual career and day trade your own account. At least then they won’t take fees and cuts of your P/L. If you suck at trading then you wouldn’t last there anyways so if you’re good at it might as well keep the P/l to yourself.

Would it be possible to DM you more about the firm? I got a few buddies starting there soon and also was kind of interested but might just stick with my S&T role now.

You're an amazing trader that made 20k a year on the side in college.  Trillium might be for you, although it's not what I would do. Because when you're junior it seems like a lot of money you can make. But you can use the same skills to make vastly more money in other ways. It's hard to explain to someone who is good and has this opportunity in front of him/her.
