Kelley or Community College?

The college admissions process has not been very kind to me. Poor performance in high school has led me to a crossroads. The only program I have available worth considering is IU's Kelley school. I am apprehensive about attending Indiana and taking on close to 200,000 in debt. I worry that the ROI on this The only other choice that I have is to move to a college town, establish residency (for the purpose of in-state tuition), accumulate credits at a CC, and attempt to enter a target school via transfer. Do I take matters into my own hands and seek out the transfer route (and if so, which school offers the best transfer odds in combination with the best placement) or do I take the classical route of attending Indiana and grind my way into "target-like" placement?Another option that I have is to attend a local community college and transfer into a UC (none of which I got into). However, my concern is that my career will be limited to the west coast if I pursue this option.

If you get into Berkeley or UCLA you wouldn’t be limited the the west coast.

Go to CC and then transfer to Fordham, NYU, a UC, etc.

Do a third year at CC, so you enter as a sophomore, so you can have your four year school as the school you network/recruit with

I actually got into Fordham, with some scholarship, but 60k a year at Fordham seems to not be super cost effective. Is that an inaccurate view?
