Equity Research Full Time

Hello all,

I am a rising senior at a non-target going to intern at a large Private Debt shop (over $15 billion in AUM). I am looking to go into ER full time in NY either at a HF or bank. Is this possible? I have done an internship at a HF, was part of my schools Investment Fund and Investment Club for the last year and have knowledge about the stock market (history, drivers, current events, etc.). How should I go about recruiting? Is it a good time to go into ER with the chance of a recession soon? I am also going to recruit for IB but given my interests, I will focus on ER.
