PM interview
Hi, I have my first real interview for a quant PM position and really not sure what I should expect (after bizdev, now with a junior PM). Is anyone willing to share their experience?
What topic should I expect to discuss? Do they expect some details of my strategy, high level stats, or more focused on the process (risk/backtesting/etc)? Or is it more like an analyst interview which is quite random?
Thanks in advance
In my interviews its generally been focused on the strategy and general knowledge in your niche. I've also had interviewers fish for information on my IP and later find out they had no intention of hiring. Be prepared to discuss any assumptions you made in developing your strategy vs how you verified those assumptions were correct after it went live. I'd ask about what infrastructure they can provide, quality of executions, risk limits, and what the onboarding process would look like for your strategy.
