Salary?
Not that salary matters that much in this business, but what is typical salary range is for analyst and senior analyst? Has it moved at all with banks and PE firms raising salaries this year?
Curious both about somewhat sizable SM (few billion plus AUM) and the MMs too. I get that most comp is PnL but was curious about salary too
“Entry level” base salaries for decent sized HFs is $100-200k, yes that’s a wide range. I would say normally $130-175k is what you’ll see (at “top” funds).
Usually base salary won’t scale that much as you become more senior (bonus will).
thanks that's helpful. Yeah big range but on the low side relative to other jobs in finance is kind of what I expected. Was just curious if senior analysts were $200k or $300k or really the same as analysts
