Transition from Growth to Value?

I come from a Global (US, Asia, Europe and etc.) TMT L/S background. I am looking to understand/learn other sectors and, specifically, the value mentality (as opposed to the growth one in TMT).

I’ve noticed a thorough scrutiny of accounting, financing, and macro viewpoints. In regards to accounting, subtle differences like how IFRS 16 Leasing affects EBITDA, CFO, Depreciation, and etc. and how this can distort the valuation of, for instance, a brick-and-mortar industry like Retail or Car Rental.

Any tips and insights? Any medium is appreciated, but especially literature.
