Citi Tech Role vs Boutique PM Role
I am someone who came into finance late, as a sophomore, due to having no idea about the opportunities available. I am about to graduate in the next week from undergrad at a non-target and only recently learned what IB is. I want to pursue it, but the closest experiences I have is serving as a Portfolio Manager and Equity Research Analyst for my student-run fund, winning the CFA Research Challenge in Florida, and interning as a Derivatives Analyst at Citi.
I have an offer to be a Tech Analyst at Citi and am currently interviewing for an Associate Portfolio Manager role in for a boutique firm. Which of these roles might look better for MBA applications and future IB internship applications? Looking to work in one of these roles for 2-3 years before going for my MBA to get into an M7.
