Energy IB Interviews

Hey monkeys, I have an upcoming energy banking interview and am just looking for some advice on how to prepare! Of course know the standard IB Q’s (thanks m&I 400), but with respect to the energy aspect what techs should I focus on? Also, what are the key points to be aware of when talking about recent deals?

Somehow there’s like 10 different ways posted online to give a run through of a NAV so if you have the time to let me know of any specifics that might help for any energy techs thatd be sweet

In my experience it's important to understand the different subverticals (upstream/mistream/downstream/OFS/renewables), and how their busmodels, betas, margins, etc differ—I was asked to rank them based on each of these factors. Also good to understand special multiples (e.g. EV/EBITDAX). the Red Book has a helpful industry specific guide on energy technicals.
