How to get more general finance/markets knowledge?

Currently a second-year student in undergrad looking for more ways to get more general finance knowledge. I do well on exams in my finance courses but when it comes to talking about the markets/ having a natural knack for definitions and terms, I feel like I have nothing. Some of my peers have such well-versed opinions on things going on with interest rates/ IPOs/ deals/ etc and I am just wondering how these people get to this level other than the basic reading the WSJ every day.
