Networking With Analysts In My Group

I’m in an incoming IBSA, and I just got my group placement (M&A). I already spoke with a girl who was an SA last summer at my bank in the same group (she will be returning FT to the group in July). Other than that, I didn’t network significantly with people my group. Should I reach out to some of the analysts for introductory calls/to learn more about the group culture? Obviously, I also plan to go on coffee chats with people in my group and others at the bank over the summer. But should I also reach out now, or is that weird? Any input is appreciated, thanks.
