Interviewed there for an OC internship - was quite technical. They asked about debt schedules and different kinds of repayment structures (e.g. PIK interest, etc). There is also a modeling test where you have to model an RCF but I didn't reach that stage
Yeah, I’d stay away especially from a culture point of view. It’s really sweaty (tbf can’t attest to how nice the people are / haven’t interviewed there).
Also, think twice about whether you want to work in Dubai or move there later on in your career. Money doesn’t justify the move in the analyst / early assoc years.
VPs / Directors have absolutely zero respect for WLB with juniors finishing at 3-4am being the norm (with an expected start time of 9am everyday regardless) + substantial work every weekend, proceed with caution...
Great team, one of the best in the region and on almost all large deals in the region. As with any teams that have great deal flow, you will work a lot
