Should I ask my connection for an update?
I had a guy at a PE firm refer me to a first year analyst job. I got a hirevue done 17 days ago. He said he flagged my CV and basically gave me a positive outlook on my application. It’s almost 3 weeks though and still haven’t heard a thing. The job posting was removed exactly 2 weeks after I’ve done my hv. I’m most likely not getting it, I know. But is it worth it to reach out and ask for an update?
