I have a friend who works in the group, and I nearly applied for the role (before deciding to go to B School), so I got the scoop.

Primarily ex-MBB consultants, with a smattering of former IB guys. Everyone is very smart, and fairly well respected within the bank. The work is good, ranging from strategy to a bit of M&A (although from what I understand that's not a common occurrence so don't let that be a selling point). They cover the entire CIB, meaning you could have projects related to Banking, Markets, Technology, or others.

Juniors are (allegedly) a cool bunch, hang out together a bit, have fun, etc.

I'd guess they may give you a case interview, but it depends on your background. The usual skills (Excel, PPT, time management, attention to detail) will be important, as will the ability to see the bigger picture.

Seems like it could be a good opportunity if you're interested in going the corporate strategy route - come in, work hard and prove yourself, maybe exit into the business side after a few years. Hope that helps provide some color, even though it's likely what you would expect given its a strategy group.

Thank you BusinessGreek. Since I do not come from the consulting background, would that be a disadvantage to other candidates who have consulting background? I have internships and work at various BBs and have worked at different groups so I know how the general CIB works in BBs and how they are structured. Appreciate your help!

The people I know in the group are a mix - some had the consulting background, others did not. I would prepare for a case study just in case, because they are substantially different from other interviews. However, I'd guess the focus will be on your background, whether you're a fit for the group, are you smart, hardworking, intellectually curious, etc.

Just my 2c from the interaction I've had with the group (I've been out with the juniors a couple of times).

Ok I see, do you know where I can get some resources for those case studies for interviews? Also, do you know what the compensations and hours are like?
