House vs. Condo
Would you personally prefer a house or a condo? And why? Say you're not planning to settle with someone yet.

Condo in NYC.
Really though prefer:
- Commercial and residential place in NYC with an art gallery
- House in LA
- House on the beach in SC
I own both in big cities (condo) and suburb (house). Whether you live alone or with a partner you will build character and tolerance by living in a condo.
Condo:
pro - easier to rent out and sell especially if its in big cities and 1 bedroom, likely better cashflow and higher quality tenants, safer with doorman and lights on at all times, have common space, less worry if something breaks as you are not alone there
con - HOA will eat you up in the long term so be ready to sell when you own > 7 years
House:
pro - more space, more fun, more privacy, less noise, future proof for starting a family
con - usually in suburbs, have you fix everything yourself, can be scary going home at night, harder to rent out, much more tenant issues and insecurity
For most of my life, I would have said condo. Now that I'm in a house, I don't think I could go back. The outdoor space alone is life changing.
The house is better until something vital breaks and you have to bid out the work and get it fixed while working a day job.
Having maintenance staff is a massively underrated part of living in a condo building (or a rental, for that matter!)
