PE Analyst role recruiting - HR is not answering back. Why?

I am on the process of recruiting for one of biggest canadian pension funds.

I have gone through 5 times of interviews including case study and debrief session(final interview i guess)

It is now over 2.5weeks since the last interview so I sent a gentle reminder email to HR 3 days ago who I have talked to through the process.

Weirdly enough, I haven't heard back from HR side either, who has been quite helpful and responsive throughout the process.

I am not blaming anyone as I understand process sometimes takes time, but I wish I had more solid answer as to the current status so that I can forget about all the mistakes I made in the final interview and move on. e.g., 'This position has been filled' or 'We are still deciding' kind of things.

This is my first time applying for PE analyst role so could any of you elaborate on why HR is not answering? There were only 3-4 candidates at the final phase I guess.

Thanks for reading the post and hope you have a good day.

Just got a full time role that took about 8 interviews and 4 months. I know this may not be helpful but best would be to be patient. Not much you can do as it is a very competitive process and as annoying as it may be, it’s very typical for HR to take their time

Understood. Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it.
As I have built my career fully inside East-asia region and it is very uncommon for HR not to answer the applicants. I think there might be culutural differences as well.

Very understandable— the amount of times this has happened to me (probably 99.9% of people) is extremely aggravating so I get it. Wishing you hear something back soon man👍🏼

Case study + debrief isn’t typically the final round. Usually is a superday where you meet a bunch of the team, and includes more senior members of the firm. I’d probably assume you got dinged on the case study and move onto the next opportunity. Maybe they come back with another interview or an offer, but wouldn’t stop looking at other places in the meantime
