Centrus London - Modeling test + Infos
Hi everyone,
In process with Centrus (RE / Living team, Senior Associate role).
Expecting a 1-hour modeling test soon, any idea on the content of this? I believe it should be at the asset-level but as they do a lot of things from private placement to equity raising or hedging... I was wondering if I would face something a bit "weird" rather than a classic modeling test in which I'm supposed to build CF for an asset acquisition or a dev scenario.
Any information on the firm more than welcome, heard that culture is great, more than decent deal flow + saw a lot of people exiting to nice REPE/Infra shops and even to Evercore but terrible pay (Senior Associate GBP 70/90k + bonus in the region of 30% to 50%...) headhunter can't confirm...

The Evercore exit was from a seasoned MD in a very specialised area and during last year's recruiting boom so wouldn't read too much into it.

Let's say that apparently working at Centrus does not close doors (Not looking for a role here expecting an exit at an Elite firm)
Forgive my ignorance, but why would the exit matter if this is for a senior associate position? Surely by this time you'd already be targeting the exit (which makes this lateral move confusing, to say the least) or already at your exit?
Also that pay, at the upper end anyway, isn't really terrible. It's market.
I'll be honest the CF guy there ex Big Four - is not someone I'd work for had exp. with the dude, and just put me off. If you get on then its a decent shop!
The CF dude who is MD or lower, I.e. AD? As I have also spoke to him and thought the same thing haha.
Did you accept the offer after all? What was your background by any chance? So they pay £90k base at senior associate? Was bonus slightly higher? I was thinking of reaching out to them for a role in a few months..
Hey! Finally lucky enough to secured a role in real estate private equity in this awful market (maybe better now?).
Role was almost 99% debt funding / refinancing for affordable housing …
I’m afraid salary was more around £75k and bonus maximum around 30%…
Oh so you took REPE over Centrus? 75k base for sr associate and 30% bonus is low…
