Firstly, sorry to hear you had such an awful day.

If I saw you crying in the office would be concerned but would also completely understand bc I cry about c.1-2 week about the job. Fortunately WFH makes this much easier to get this over with privately (although I have been on calls where my voice was all shaky but no one seemed to notice lol) - at work I used to cry in the bathrooms instead. Personally would never tell anyone the truth if they ever asked me (which they never do bc most people in my firm are not very nice and do not care) - instead would make up relationship/family drama etc.
