Cornell Dyson vs Georgetown McDonough
Hi I’m a current high school senior and I was accepted into Cornell Dyson and Georgetown McDonough. I intend to go into either finance/investment banking or management consulting, and I know both schools are targets. I’m having a really hard time choosing a school, though, so any insight would help.
Cornell pros: Ivy League, Dyson is super selective and has really good connections to Wall Street, beautiful campus, Greek life, good social scene, 5.5 hour car ride from home
Cornell cons: depressing weather, Ithaca is super small and boring
Georgetown pros: McDonough has good placement, love the campus and Georgetown/DC area, smaller school, lots to do, 20 min car ride from home
Georgetown cons: ranked a bit lower than Cornell, not an Ivy, may get bored of the same thing, no Greek life
I guess what I’m saying is: is there a big enough difference between the schools to pick one over the other? Will Cornell Dyson help me significantly more? Does the DC location of Georgetown help at all? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
