I just got an offer at a top investment banking firm (elite boutique/JP/GS/MS)! I need to say that because as a non-non-non-non core student from a rural school, this experience is surreal. I know this may come of cringe and you guys/gals will monkey-shit this post and its fine. I just need to express my happiness. Sorry if it seems too cringe again.

Hi This is OP, Firstly wnated to say that I did not get it through diversity so my experience is similar to most recruits. I am a male Chinese-American with no URM/Diversity pull. Just wanted to say that so that no-one got the wrong impression in terms of my process and what I've said below. Wanted to let you guys know what my process was like to get to the internship. As a non-core student, I knew it was an uphill battle and that I needed to network and put myself out there in order to succeed.
