How to break into structuring

Hey guys, I recently came across an idea of a career in structuring, so basically creating customized derivatives solutions for clients, and I was wondering if any of you could better explain to me what the average career path looks like and how does one break into structuring. Any help is much appreciated.

For the context, I am still in college.

PS: I am not sure whether the term "structuring" is the correct one, but that's how I understand it.

Very mathy/coding oriented role for the most part but u can tailor it to your strengths both in terms of qualitative vs quantitative and types of quantitative work. In the US there’s been a rise in hiring structuring analysts out of undergrad but from what I understand in EU/Asia most structurers need MFE/ comp fi masters. Knowledge in ML, Comp fi/ stochastic calculus, and coding (generally Python) are all helpful and you’ll probably need at least 2 of these to be a good fit but it depends heavily on the bank.
